2000 News Article

- Between the hours of 10:00 & 11:30 PM James Bellasars of California made a good jump on the New Year when he became the 200,000th visitor to Clan Stirling Online.

Good luck on all your research and other projects for the year 2000 and beyond!

The growth has been amazing, particularly the past six months. The web site got started as a way to share family history information with my sisters and parents, yet now after just less than twenty months we have thousands of visitors a month.

There a number of exciting research and historical preservation projects going on right now. I can't go into all the details just yet, but we hope to announce soon our participation with a major project in Scottish Genealogy and History centered in and around Stirling, Scotland, the birthplace and homeland of our Clan.

The family has spread all over the world, we recently heard from an old branch of the family in Austria. I've always wondered where all those Stirling daughters ended up!

There has also been some talk amongst the family members in Scotland of having a Stirling Family Reunion somewhere near Stirling or Bridge of Allan, Scotland in 2001 or perhaps 2002. If you are interested in helping or have a suggestion, please let me know.

I'm so grateful to all those that contribute so much. Good luck on your research and other projects. Let us know how you're doing from time to time. There are quite a few us!
